Wine & Beer Sampling

International and Niagara wines will add to the tasters’ experience. Suggestions will be made by specialists on how to find the correct wine to serve with the various types of mushrooms available.

Participating wineries include a selection by Lifford Wines and Spirits of Toronto. Royal City Brewing of Guelph will be on site to provide tastes of some its collection.

Founded by Russell Bateman and Cameron Fryer, Royal City is concentrating on three flagship brands – Smoked Honey, Dry Hopped Pale Ale and Morning Stout – along with various seasonal and one-off beers such as Gordon Hill Hefeweizen and Gateway IPA.

As with most new brewery start-ups, demand for Royal City’s beers as been strong, and they are brewing as often as possible to keep up.

Since 1978, Lifford has proudly represented some of Ontario and the world's finest wineries. They offer wines of exceptional value from dedicated producers with an emphasis on family owned wineries. A pioneer of the Liquor Control Board of Ontario’s consignment program, Lifford has grown to be the largest supplier of premium wine to restaurants and discerning consumers in the province.

This year, their combined companies will sell more than 800,000 cases in Canada. They are the market leader in Ontario as the largest supplier of premium wines to the LCBO.
